My Words01/25/00--Well my time in the PI is coming to a close. It has been a wonderful trip in many ways and it will be sad to go. I have met many interesting and of course fun people here. I only met one person that agreed with me about the Hubert Webb decision. So in that case I am kinda glad to be heading back to the good ole U S of A!!! No i'm not saying our judicial system in the States is perfect. I know it has it's flaws. But The U.S.A. is still the greatest country in the world to live. Back home in the states i don't have to think twice before i open my fat mouth. In the Untied States i can say out loud, "Hubert Webb should walk free because he was railroaded, he never got a fair trial!". If i say that out loud here in the PI my friends and neighbors would think i was crazy. If i said it in front of the wrong people i might get shot. I'm not saying the government here in the PI is corrupt. What I am saying is that in my opinion there is some corruption. Well anyway you don't want to here about the Hubert Webb case. That's here in the PI and i'm on my vacation. I wanna talk about the idiots in my own country. The United States of America, definitely has its share of idiots. Think about it, seven years ago you couldn't find a single person out there that would admit to voting for Bill Clinton. But a few years later he gets re-elected? How the hell did that happen? Today he still has a pretty good approval rating. When he shouldn't even be in office. he should have done the right thing and saved our country the embarrassment and he should have just resigned. It is because of him the rest of the world think "all" Anericans can't be trusted. I know if i ever lied to a judge and got caught i would not only lose my job but i'd go to jail too. You see it's not about sex or lying to the American people, it was about breaking the law. That is what Bill Clinton did and he got away with it. Everyone know's it and we've accepted it. And that is why i can say that for the most part the American public is a bunch of idiots. Hmm now that i think of it maybe that is why that judge in the Webb case said she believes that the United States State department is lying when it came to the defense of Hubert Webb.........Well i guess Bill Clinton is kinda responsible for 9 innocent men going to jail for the rest of their lives and he doesn't even know it. I'm outa here. Next stop Amerika! 03/03/00--A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. ----- That is the Second Amendment to The Constitution of the United States of America. Contrary to what gun ban advocates would want you to believe, those words gives me the right to own a gun. Even the right to own what they call assault weapons. Yes assault weapons. There should be no ban on assault weapons. A ban would be a threat to the free citizens capacity to defend him or herself physically against tyrany. As far as i'm concerned, it's like the bumper sticker says" Gun Control is hitting your target" Gun ownership is a right if not a duty of all free citizens. Think about it. Driving is a priviledge. Free speech is a right. They can take away your driving priviledges, but they can't tell you what you can and cannot say, because free speech is a guaranteed right by the Constitution. Therefore gun ownership is a right that should not be taken away. People die. Its a fact of life. You know, death and taxes. People will always be killing eachother. Contrary to what advocates to banning guns would like to believe, taking away the guns will not stop this. I am not willing to give up my right to bear arms because others feel we do not have the capacity to control ourselves. Giving up your right to own a gun is a concession to this. It's like telling the government "i'm a child and i will always be a child, I do not know whats right and whats wrong please show me, and protect me from myself because i don't have the capacity." Do you know the difference between right and wrong? Ofcourse you do! The current trend in our nation is to systematically remove the guns from the hands of civilians, by capitalizing on the fears of many people brought on by the recent shootings in our schools. What is this really doing? Or should i ask where is this leading us? I believe most of you know. It is leading us into a time where the government will be more powerful than it should be. And we all know that big government is government that no longer is for the people and by the people but a government that sees itself as the peoples keeper. Yes, Big Brother, thats what i'm talking about. This becomes a government that violates the rights of the people "for their own good". A government that can abuse its power. The second amendment is a provision to help prevent such a thing from happening. The second Amendment is what stands guard to protect all our other constitutional rights. It helps guarantee that these rights will always be ours. As stated in our Declaration of Independence, our founding fathers recognized the fact that any form of government at any level, federal ,state, or municipal, can become oppressive of our rights, and that we must always be prepared to defend ourselves againsts its abuses. This is why it is the duty of all free citizens to own and know how to properly handle firearms. There is no such thing as oppressed people, only those people who have allowed themselves to be oppressed. Do any of you remember the story of the thirteen colonies? Ruled from afar? By a King that saw the colonies as only a cash cow? Taxation without representation? 'those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it' I'm outta here it's time for me to hit the range. ![]() ![]() Copyright 1997,1998,1999,Y2K Deadsmple [email protected] |
